Our client provides high-quality, therapeutic residential care for children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. They believe in empowering children through participation and decision-making, ensuring every young person feels heard, valued, and supported.
They are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Residential Support Workers to join their dedicated team in Virginia Water.
About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children and young people aged 8–17 who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or exploitation. You’ll provide emotional, social, and practical support while helping them develop life skills and achieve their full potential in a stable, nurturing environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, trauma-informed care and support to children with EBD, SEMH, CSE, CCE, and substance misuse backgrounds.
- Encourage personal growth through positive relationships, routine, and structure.
- Support care and behaviour management plans in line with individual needs.
- Promote safeguarding, safety, and confidentiality at all times.
- Participate actively in daily routines, activities, and household tasks.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, and other professionals.
- Support ongoing development of the home’s therapeutic culture and ethos.
About You
You’re someone who is resilient, caring, and able to remain calm under pressure. You have a genuine passion for improving children’s lives and the ability to model positive behaviour.
Requirements
- Experience working in a children’s residential or similar care setting (essential)
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
- A patient, empathetic, and reliable approach
- Right to work in the UK (please note: sponsorship is not provided)
- Clear DBS check and overseas police clearance (if applicable)
Highly Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience supporting children with EBD, SEMH, CCE, CSE, or substance misuse
