Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Vehicle Preparation Site Assistant to join our team. Responsible for preparing vehicles to a high standard for sale and customer handover, including washing, valeting, and ensuring vehicles are presented in excellent condition. Maintained the cleanliness and organisation of the forecourt, sales site, and office areas. Collected and delivered vehicles to MOT stations, service centres, paint shops, and suppliers. Assisted with the smooth day-to-day running of the garage by carrying out general site duties and supporting the wider team. Demonstrated reliability, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Duties
- Assist with the cleaning and organisation of vehicles on-site, ensuring they meet company standards for presentation and safety.
- Support the loading and unloading of vehicles as required, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to identify any maintenance or cleaning needs.
- Drive company vehicles for site-related tasks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the site facilities, including washrooms and common areas, through basic janitorial duties.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors or clients with enquiries related to vehicle preparation or site procedures.
- Support team members in organising vehicle schedules and ensuring timely readiness for dispatch or delivery.
Skills
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in janitorial work or vehicle cleaning is desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Organised with keen attention to detail to ensure vehicles are prepared to high standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit to handle manual tasks such as lifting or manoeuvring equipment and vehicles when necessary.
