Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced night Senior Care Assistants to join our dedicated team within our newly registered care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to our residents. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management in accordance with care plans
- Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring high standards of care are maintained
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to legal and organisational standards
- Promote independence and dignity among residents through respectful communication and personalised support
- Organise activities that encourage social interaction and mental stimulation for residents
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment
Experience
- Proven experience working in senior care or within a care home setting, with supervisory or leadership responsibilities preferred
- Strong understanding of senior care principles, including dementia care
- Experience in developing and managing care plans effectively
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising confidently with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding care
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Experience in medication administration
