A unique opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse to join a well established team within a growing organisation, Coed Du Hall Ltd. The role will be overseeing the day to day running of our 24 bed nursing home on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, located just outside Beaumaris. The successful candidate will benefit from leading a longstanding and skilled staff team who already ensure the residents receive excellent quality care and support. The successful candidate will become part of a larger multi-disciplinary team and will receive ongoing, consistent support to maintain the high standards already in place at the service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To take overall responsibility for the management of the shift, delegating responsibility and accountability where appropriate.
- Support the manager to ensure staffing numbers meet the needs of the service users, ensuring appropriate skill mix and numbers in compliance with agreed staffing establishment and budget.
- To ensure consistency in daily staff management and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Act as a mentor and positive role model to all staff under your supervision, providing effective and efficient leadership skills.
- Actively support the multidisciplinary team in the assessment of residents.
- Ensure personal plans reflect the current needs of the individual and are reviewed within the required timescales, or earlier if required, and that they are followed day to day.
- Ensure any issues that arise are handed over to other members of the team, as appropriate.
- Coordinate and lead discussion with external professionals in relation to commissioning of services, delivery of services and standards of care.
- Maintain professionalism that upholds the principles, philosophies and values of the organisation.
- Ensure a comprehensive programme of training, support, supervision and appraisal is delivered to all staff in line with the organisations policies and procedures.
- The post holder will deliver effective and professional communications to multi and interdisciplinary teams across a range of services, settings and professions.
- Delegate activity to junior staff, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills and experience to deliver high standards of care.
- Liaise with individual’s family members as required.
- Delivering all prescribed care to residents as required whilst maintaining their dignity, privacy and independence.
- Complete all mandatory training provided by the organisation.
