This is an exciting opportunity to join our Play Service within Children and Family Services as a Playwork Apprentice. Working within a supportive and professional team, you’ll help deliver high quality play opportunities that promote the wellbeing, development and enjoyment of children and young people across Torfaen.
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll support the planning and delivery of safe, stimulating and inclusive play activities across schools, community settings and holiday programmes. You’ll help create positive play environments, interact with children to encourage participation, and assist with the day-to-day running of play sessions, including setting up equipment and maintaining safe spaces. You’ll also gain valuable experience in safeguarding, teamwork and working with families and communities.
We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, enthusiasm for working with children and a willingness to learn. Whether you are starting your career or looking to retrain, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills, gain hands-on experience and complete a recognised apprenticeship qualification in a supportive environment.
