Overview
We are seeking a machine operative with high pressure casting experience to join our Die Casting to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working with metal components, ensuring high-quality production, and maintaining safety standards within the plant. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to work. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within the die diecasting industry.
Duties
- Operate die casting machinery efficiently and safely to produce metal components according to specifications.
- Perform routine inspections of castings for defects or inconsistencies
- Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating tooling and machinery to ensure smooth operation.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently, recognising potential hazards around equipment and work areas.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and report any issues promptly to supervisors.
- Support the organisation of materials and ensure a clean, organised workspace at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in any casting or plastic injection processes is advantageous.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
