We are seeking an Electrician / Control Panel Builder, ideally with experience in the industrial sector. However, we also welcome applications from electricians with domestic, commercial, or maintenance backgrounds who are looking to broaden their skill set. Training will be provided for candidates interested in transitioning into control panel manufacturing. This is mainly a workshop-based role within our Control Panel Department, manufacturing and wiring industrial control panels for a wide range of industrial applications.

Park Gate & Company Limited, one of Cumbria’s largest electrical engineering companies, is seeking a skilled Control Panel Electrician / Panel Builder to join our growing team.
This is a workshop-based role within our Control Panel Department, manufacturing and wiring industrial control panels for a wide range of industrial applications.
The Role
You will primarily be responsible for the manufacture and electrical wiring of industrial control panels within our Carlisle facility.
Work includes:
· Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels
· Reading and interpreting electrical schematic drawings
· Wiring motor control circuits
· Installing PLC systems and variable speed drives (VSDs)
· Fitting and wiring industrial control gear
· Panel modifications and upgrades
· Occasional on-site support work when required
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
· NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· High attention to detail and quality standards
Desirable:
· Knowledge of VSDs and motor control systems
· Experience reading electrical schematic drawings
· Electrical wiring and fault-finding skills
· Experience wiring control panels or industrial equipment

This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Carlisle premises.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
