About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and experienced School Business Manager to join our friendly and supportive primary school community in Greasby. This is a key leadership role, working closely with the Headteacher to ensure the effective management of the school’s finances, operations, and administrative functions.
The successful candidate will play a vital part in supporting the strategic vision of the school while ensuring day-to-day business operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the school’s financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring processes
- Oversee HR functions including recruitment, contracts, and staff absence management
- Manage the school’s administrative team and office systems
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, policies, and procedures
- Oversee premises management, health & safety, and site maintenance
- Manage procurement, contracts, and relationships with external providers
- Support the Headteacher and Governors with strategic planning and reporting
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in financial and operational management (school experience desirable but not essential)
- Demonstrates strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Is highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently
- Has excellent attention to detail and a solution-focused approach
- Is committed to supporting the educational environment and safeguarding children
Relevant qualifications in business management, finance, or administration are desirable.
