Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic

- Salary: £36,000 – £46,000 DOE
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join a well-established, independent workshop based in the Southampton (SO45) area.
This is a great opportunity to move away from main dealer pressure and join a business that genuinely focuses on quality workmanship and customer care.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, and repair work on a range of vehicles. The role is suited to a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician with at least 1 year of experience.
For experienced technicians holding an MOT licence, there is a higher salary band available.
Salary & Benefits
- £36,000 – £38,000 for Level 3 Vehicle Technicians
- £42,000 – £46,000 for experienced Technicians with MOT licence
- Training support available to gain MOT licence for Level 3 Technicians

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- 1 in 3 Saturdays: 8:00am – 12:00pm

Requirements
- Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician (essential)
- Minimum 1 year experience preferred
- MOT licence advantageous (or willingness to train)
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
