Holiday Cover Nursery Cook (Part-Time, Temporary)

We are a friendly, family-run children’s nursery in Cheltenham looking for a reliable and enthusiastic cook to provide holiday cover during school breaks.
Role Overview
The role involves preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals for up to 40 children daily, along with baking and snack preparation. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare healthy, home-cooked meals and snacks
- Bake fresh items for children
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
- Manage food preparation in line with allergen and dietary requirements
- Carry out washing up and kitchen cleaning
- Support stock control, ordering, and portion management
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role OR a busy home kitchen
- Positive attitude and willingness to help (“muck in” approach)
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications (Preferred but not essential)
- Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene
- Level 2 Allergy Awareness (Early Years)
Training will be provided if needed, as these qualifications are required for the role.
