We are looking for friendly, reliable and hardworking Catering Assistants / Tea Room All-Rounders to join our team at our tea rooms in Upminster.
We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming and respectful environment for all visitors, while providing good quality food, drinks and customer service.
Role Overview
This is a varied full-time role, so we are looking for people who are happy to get involved in all areas of the tea room. Duties will include serving customers, making teas and coffees, helping with light lunches, clearing tables, using the till, washing up and keeping the tea room clean, tidy and hygienic.
Due to business needs, we are currently looking to recruit up to 6 people to support our team.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve teas, coffees, cold drinks and light meals
· Assist with basic food preparation
· Provide friendly and professional customer service
· Take payments and use the till
· Clear tables and keep customer areas tidy
· Wash up and help maintain kitchen cleanliness
· Restock items when needed
· Follow hygiene and food safety standards
· Support the team with general day-to-day tea room duties
· Help maintain a calm, respectful and welcoming environment for all visitors
Requirements
· Friendly and approachable attitude
· Reliable, punctual and hardworking
· Good customer service skills
· Able to work well as part of a team
· Happy to help wherever needed
· Comfortable working in a busy customer-facing environment
· Professional and respectful manner
· Previous café, catering or hospitality experience preferred, but not essential
