What You’ll Be Doing
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Football Coach to work within the Leeds United Girls Academy (U16s). You will play a key role in delivering high-quality coaching sessions, supporting player development, and ensuring a safe, positive, and professional environment for all players.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality coaching sessions in line with the Academy philosophy
Implement the training and match programme aligned with Long Term Player Development (LTPD) principles
Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of all players at all times
Maintain accurate records, including session plans, match reports, and player reviews
Complete and maintain Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for players
Conduct a minimum of three player reviews per season
Support administrative duties including registers, risk assessments, and safeguarding documentation
Attend meetings with Academy staff to align delivery and performance objectives
Build positive relationships with players, parents, and colleagues
Maintain equipment standards and ensure safe session delivery
Represent Leeds United Foundation and Girls Academy professionally at all times
Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have:
UEFA B Licence
FA First Aid qualification
FA Safeguarding Children certification
Eligibility to pass an Enhanced DBS check
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Knowledge of girls’ football structures and development pathways
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for women and girls’ football and its ongoing development
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence and access to transport
Commitment to continuous professional development
Experience
Experience coaching girls’ football
Experience delivering structured coaching sessions and player development programmes
Understanding of youth player development and individual needs
Experience working in a team-based coaching environment
Desirable:
UEFA A Licence
Experience working within a professional football environment
