Commercial Gas Technician - Workshop Based (Gas Safe Registered)
Location: Gravelly Park, Birmingham (B24)
Salary: £48,000 per annum
Package: Company vehicle (for occasional travel), tools, workwear, and full product training
Hours: Mon–Thurs 8:45am–4:45pm | Fri 8:45am–4:15pm
Contract Type: Permanent – Start ASAP
We’re recruiting for a Gas Safe Registered Service Technician to join a well-established business based in Gravelly Park, Birmingham.
This is a permanent, workshop-based role — ideal for a technician who enjoys hands-on technical work without the demands of being constantly on the road. While there may be occasional site visits, the role is primarily based on-site in the company’s fully equipped workshop.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Diagnosing and repairing returned equipment and spare parts in the workshop
- Providing remote technical support to customers and service partners via phone and email
- Conducting tests on faulty or returned units
- Carrying out conversions and preparing equipment
- Supporting the service desk with technical queries and admin
- Collaborating with the quality and development teams, both in the UK and internationally
- Using internal systems (Sparc, Opera) to maintain service records
What We’re Looking For:
- Commercial Gas Safe registered (essential)
- Solid background in service and fault diagnosis – ideally within gas or heating equipment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and in a small team environment
- Familiar with workshop safety procedures
- Full UK driving licence (for occasional external visits)
