We’re looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Litter Pickers in Bradford BD1.
This is an important frontline role where you’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness and civic pride across Bradford city centre and surrounding areas.
What you’ll be doing
- Litter picking and keeping streets, footpaths, open spaces, and public areas clean and tidy.
- Emptying litter bins and reporting damaged or overflowing bins.
- Removing small fly-tipping, debris, and waste from public areas.
- Supporting basic environmental maintenance, including leaf clearance and weed removal.
- Identifying and reporting environmental issues such as spillages, vandalism, or hazards.
- Using basic tools and equipment including litter pickers, bags, brushes, and PPE.
- Engaging positively with members of the public and promoting anti-litter messages.
What we’re looking for
- Pride in maintaining a clean and pleasant public environment.
- A reliable and conscientious approach to work.
- Physically fit, with the ability to walk long distances, bend, lift, and carry items.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when required.
- Basic communication skills to interact with colleagues and the public.
What we offer
- £12.71 per hour.
- 4-month contract with a potential of extension
- Monday – Friday working pattern.
- Working hours: 13:30 – 20:00.
- 30 hours per week.
