ePMA Pharmacist | Field-Based | National
Join Speeds Healthcare in a specialist role at the intersection of clinical pharmacy and digital medicines — supporting independent mental health hospitals and clinics to implement, optimise, and get the most from their electronic prescribing systems.
The role:
- Support client sites with the implementation and optimisation of electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) systems
- Provide clinical and technical advice to site teams on ePMA workflows and best practices
- Conduct ePMA audits and reviews, identifying risks and recommending improvements
- Deliver training to clinical staff on safe and effective use of ePMA systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists, MDTs, and IT teams to drive medicines safety and governance
- Support the development of ePMA policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
- Escalate high-risk findings promptly in line with procedures
- Attend client sites regularly, with remote support provided between visits
- Regular travel required across the UK, including national travel to client sites
What you'll need:
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
- Experience working with ePMA systems (implementation, optimisation, or clinical use)
- Strong clinical pharmacy background
- Excellent communication skills — able to engage confidently with clinical, non-clinical, and IT stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Competent in digital tools for reporting and virtual meetings
- Car and valid driving licence — willingness to travel nationally is essential
Desirable:
- Experience in mental health services
- Previous involvement in ePMA implementation projects
- Knowledge of medicines governance and regulatory frameworks
- Experience delivering training
