Sports Cover Supervisor – Wrexham
Excell Supply are recruiting enthusiastic and confident Sports Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Wrexham.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching, fitness, physical education, or youth work who are looking to gain valuable experience within schools while inspiring the next generation.
The Role
As a Sports Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Supervise pupils and ensure a positive learning environment is maintained.
- Support PE lessons, sports activities, and wider school initiatives where required.
- Encourage pupil participation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
What We're Looking For
- A background in sports coaching, physical education, fitness, or youth work is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children or young people is advantageous.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- The confidence to manage groups of pupils independently.
- A positive, energetic, and professional attitude.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
