Hours: 35 hours per week (8:15 – 3:45, Mon-Fri)

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage team. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for the supervision of children in the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. The role will involve working with children across FS1 and FS2.

The ideal candidate will support pupils with complex SEND needs to access an inclusive education through a bespoke mix of classroom learning alongside targeted, adapted provision. They will deliver planned learning activities, support the implementation of personalised programmes, and work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and wider staff to ensure pupils' needs are met. Pupils' needs include communication and interaction, ASD, and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to the class teacher in delivering high-quality early years education
- Use emotion coaching techniques and restorative practice to support children with SEND and emotional needs
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of engaging learning activities
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher
- Ensure a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children in an Early Years setting
- A good understanding of child development and learning processes
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
