We are seeking a reliable and professional Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products to customers in a timely and courteous manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring patients receive their medications promptly and safely.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver pharmacy orders to customers across designated routes
- Ensure accurate delivery of prescriptions and related products in accordance with company procedures and health regulations
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers during deliveries
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting of medication boxes and supplies
- Keep delivery documentation organised and up-to-date, including receipts and delivery confirmations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, health & safety guidelines, and company policies during deliveries
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules and paperwork effectively
- Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools is advantageous
- Prior experience in pharmacy or healthcare logistics is a plus but not essential
Pay: £97.68-£218.55 per day
