Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair heavy trucks and commercial vehicles
- Carry out diagnostics and fault finding
- Perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
- Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Use OEM diagnostic equipment and technical systems
- Complete job cards and service documentation accurately
- Maintain high safety and workmanship standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, HGV Technician, Truck Mechanic or Bus Mechanic
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent qualification
- Experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine interest in relocating to Australia
Experience with any of the following is highly regarded:
- Volvo
- Scania
- DAF
- MAN
- Mercedes-Benz
- Iveco
- Renault Trucks
- Dennis Eagle
- ADL
- Wrightbus
- Alexander Dennis
- Municipal or fleet maintenance vehicles
