We are seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Ghyll Royd Care Home. In this role, you will support our residents' daily needs and contribute to creating a warm, supportive community that aligns with our core values of compassion, dignity and kindness.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care and mobility
- Support the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Promote a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills.
- Uphold the dignity and independence of each resident.
- Contribute to a positive team environment focused on delivering outstanding care.

Shift Patterns
We offer flexibility to suit your lifestyle:
- Full-time Days: 4 days over 7
- Reliable, consistent rotas.
- Flexibility to support the Home on nights if and when required (with notice)
Requirements & Compliance
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS check.
- Rehabilitation of Offenders Act: This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. This means that all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent") must be disclosed, except those that are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules.
- A genuine desire to improve the lives of vulnerable adults.
- Ability to use digital or paper systems to record daily care notes accurately.
- Previous experience in a care setting is preferred but not essential; full training is provided.
