We work with a range of UK employers actively hiring across these roles.
Job Description:
UK-Based (On-Site, Hybrid or Remote)
About the Roles
We're looking for talented Tax professionals at all levels—from Tax Assistant and Tax Senior through to Tax Accountant, Tax Manager and Tax Director—across both practice and in-house, and spanning corporate, personal, indirect, employment and specialist tax. These are roles where deep technical knowledge and clear advice genuinely protect value and keep organisations and individuals on the right side of an ever-changing rulebook.
You'll work across the full tax lifecycle—from compliance and computations through to planning, advisory and managing relationships with HMRC. The role suits someone who pairs strong technical tax discipline with the communication skill to make complex rules legible to the people they affect.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax computations and returns (corporate, personal or partnership as relevant)
- Advise clients or the business on tax planning, structuring and risk
- Manage tax compliance cycles and HMRC deadlines
- Handle VAT / indirect tax, employment tax or specialist areas as your focus requires
- Support transactions, due diligence and restructuring
- Manage HMRC enquiries and correspondence
- Stay current with UK tax legislation and each Finance Act's changes
- (For Manager+ roles) Manage portfolios, review work, develop juniors and grow client or stakeholder relationships
What You'll Bring
Technical Expertise:
- CTA, ATT, or ACA / ACCA with a strong tax focus (studiers welcomed)
- Solid technical knowledge in one or more tax areas (corporate, personal, indirect, employment, international, R&D or transfer pricing)
- Tax software experience (Alphatax, CCH, Digita or equivalent)
- Confident researching and interpreting legislation
- Strong Excel and documentation discipline
Professional & Soft Skills:
- High attention to detail and compliance rigour
- Clear communication—able to explain a tax position to a non-specialist
- Commercial awareness of the wider picture behind the tax question
- Integrity and sound professional judgement
- Collaborative approach across finance, advisory and client teams
Domain Flexibility:
- Roles span practice (Big 4, mid-tier and regional firms) and in-house tax functions across corporate, personal, indirect, employment, international, R&D and transfer pricing
- Background in any of these is welcomed; appetite to move between practice and in-house, or into an adjacent tax specialism, valued just as much
Experience Level:
- Studier / assistant entry level through to 8+ years for Tax Director
- Background in practice or in-house tax
- Examples of compliance cycles, advisory projects or tax planning you've owned end-to-end
What We Offer
- The opportunity to work where technical tax advice genuinely protects and creates value
- Exposure to varied clients, sectors and tax specialisms
- Roles at the level you're ready for—we're hiring across the full tax spectrum
- A collaborative environment where technical rigour and clear advice are both valued
- Clear scope to develop specialist depth (corporate, personal, indirect, international) or stay broad
- Study support pathways where relevant, and flexible working arrangements (on-site, hybrid or remote)
