Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing compassionate care to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and ensuring the well-being of residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and eating
- Support in the implementation of care plans under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Drive to appointments or outings when required
- Utilize IT systems for documentation and reporting
Skills
- Experience or willingness to work in a care home environment
- Ability to drive and hold a valid driver's license
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with residents and colleagues
- Knowledge of care plans and willingness to learn and implement them
- Familiarity with home care practices is advantageous
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate compassionately with residents and their families
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
