Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker – Experienced
We are looking for an experienced Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a new therapeutic children’s home.
The successful candidate must have previous experience working in a children’s residential home and a strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, boundaries, routines, and supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
This role would suit someone confident in shift leadership, daily recording, key working, behaviour support, risk management, and supporting junior staff on shift.
You must be able to work calmly, consistently, and professionally, helping children feel safe, heard, and supported.
Essential:
Previous children’s home experienceExperience supporting children with complex needs, trauma, SEBD or attachment difficultiesGood understanding of safeguarding and professional boundariesConfident with recording, handovers and care planningAble to lead shifts and support team membersLevel 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare preferred or willingness to completeFlexible to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins
