With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Generator Power is growing rapidly and is requiring a Scottish Area Manager based in Scotland
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To control of the hire Service division in Inverness and Bellshill with good workflow and cost-efficient operation;
- To ensure that Service processes at the 2 Depots are followed.
- To ensure that Engineers’ timesheets and job sheets at the 2 Depots are correctly processed in a timely manner, are fully completed and legible
- When using electronic methods, including Jobwatch, ensure that all staff comply with instructions provided.
- To ensure the “duty on call rota” at the 2 Depots is carried out within legal boundaries and to give adequate periods of rest to staff.
- To safeguard all Company assets in the Scottish area and to ensure that no equipment leaves the Depots without the correct paperwork being issued.
- Ensure that all depots under Scottish Area complete transfers to other locations timely and correctly.
- Assist with fleet audits
- Consider and organise staff training dependent on skill levels required for staff at the 2 Depots
- To promote teamwork and cooperation at all times, both within Head Office and across the Generator Power Group of Companies
- To always act in the best interests of the Generator Power Group of Companies and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the Company into disrepute
- To proactively contribute to the control workflow of minor repairs within the Scottish location are carried out;
- Ensure company vehicle or occasional loan vehicle when supplied, is kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within manufacturer’s guideline, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner;
- Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect;
- Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices. Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the company - currently ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures, including all future notifications;
- Proactively contribute to the company’s policy of continuous improvement;
- Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties that are requested by the Managing Director or the Management Team.
Qualifications/skills required:
- Any Plant/Mechanical Engineering qualifications or equivalent experience;
- Any Administrative Qualifications;
- Management experience;
- Competent with IT and computer packages especially Microsoft Excel & Word;
