Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Private Maths Tutor to provide personalised instruction to learners of various ages and backgrounds up to GCSE Level on a 1-2-1 basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for teaching, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual needs. Responsibilities
- Deliver customised Maths lessons tailored to each student’s level, learning style, and goals
- Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods and materials
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence and active participation
- Support students with special educational needs, ensuring inclusive and accessible instruction
- Maintain clear communication with students and their guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement
- Utilise effective tutoring techniques to motivate learners and enhance their language skills
Experience
- QTS Essential
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Maths, ideally with diverse age groups or special educational needs
- Strong background in working with children and young learners is highly desirable
- Experience in special education or adapting teaching methods for individual requirements is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Previous experience in working with students from different cultural backgrounds is beneficial
