Role Purpose
To drive profitable revenue growth through the acquisition of new customers, development of existing accounts and management of commercial opportunities within an assigned territory.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing and converting opportunities, building strong customer relationships and delivering sustainable growth through effective customer engagement, commercial insight and structured pipeline management.
Working closely with Internal Business Development, Marketing, Customer Services and the wider commercial team, the Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding Prestige Leisure's customer base and growing strategic customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Development
- Develop and execute a territory growth plan
- Identify new business opportunities within the territory
- Increase market penetration across key customer segments
- Maintain awareness of competitor activity and market trends
- Develop strategic account plans for priority customers
New Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals and lead follow-up
- Convert qualified opportunities into active customers
- Build and maintain a healthy new business pipeline
- Deliver growth against territory targets
- Secure new customer relationships across key market sectors
Account Management & Growth
- Manage and develop an allocated portfolio of customer accounts
- Identify opportunities to increase customer spend and product penetration
- Conduct regular customer reviews and growth discussions
- Develop long-term customer relationships
- Protect and grow existing revenue streams
Customer Engagement
- Conduct customer meetings and account development activities through the most appropriate communication channels to support customer growth and opportunity conversion
- Build relationships with key decision makers
- Understand customer objectives and identify growth opportunities
- Represent Prestige Leisure professionally at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events
- Manage customers through the sales process from initial opportunity through to successful conversion and ongoing account development
Opportunity & Pipeline Management
- Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline within HubSpot
- Progress opportunities through all stages of the sales process
- Ensure forecasting information remains accurate and up to date
- Maintain CRM discipline and data quality
- Manage opportunities in line with agreed sales processes
Quotations & Commercial Proposals
- Prepare quotations and commercial proposals
- Follow up opportunities and quotations in a timely manner
- Negotiate commercial opportunities where appropriate
- Maximise quotation conversion rates
- Ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded within HubSpot
Collaboration
- Work closely with Internal Business Development colleagues to support customer growth opportunities
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, lead generation and customer development initiatives
- Work alongside Customer Services to support customer onboarding and retention
- Share market intelligence and customer insights with the wider business

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience within business development, field sales or account management
- Demonstrable track record of revenue growth and customer acquisition

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing customer pipelines and opportunities
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Full UK driving licence

- Experience within branded apparel, distribution or related industries

Travel & Location
This is a field-based role with responsibility for an assigned territory – London and surrounding area.
Travel to customer meetings, exhibitions, events and company meetings will be undertaken where commercially beneficial and appropriate to the opportunity, customer relationship or business requirement.
