Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver with own Van to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to customers in various locations, ensuring timely deliveries ideally one day per week plus extra when busy. This role offers an excellent opportunity for self employed individuals with a van and passion for driving and logistics, looking to contribute to a dynamic delivery service. Payment on invoice, customers pay the delivery charge to the company, we then pay you the full amounts for deliveries on invoice
Duties
- Safely operate a van for the collection and delivery of goods to clients .
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Load and unload items, including heavy or bulky goods, using appropriate lifting techniques.
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed off as required.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times, adhering to health and safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record..
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their work, possess strong driving skills, and are committed to providing excellent service on every delivery.
Pay: £10.00-£213.77 per day
