ROLE: Shift Mechanical Engineer
SHIFT: Day shift - 0600 - 1800, Night Shift 18:00-0600 Week 1 - 4 nights, 3 off Week 2 - 3 days 1 off 3 nights Week 3 - 3 off, 4 days Week 4 - 7 off

Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete all required paperwork.
- Respond to reactive and emergency breakdowns, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Assist other team members as directed by the Supervisor or Contract Manager.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within contractual time scales.
- Proactively support energy‑reduction initiatives on site.
- Supervise visiting sub‑contractors, ensuring high standards and Health & Safety compliance.
- Adopt a flexible attitude to support additional properties when required.
- Complete all documentation accurately and on time.
- Work safely, diligently, and in line with company policies and procedures.
- Participate fully in training and appraisal activities.
- Undertake additional duties in line with capability as required.
Required Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level II/III (or equivalent) in relevant mechanical disciplines.
- Experience in maintenance, testing, and fault‑finding on a range of equipment including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, batteries, and lighting systems.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
- Proactive approach with strong customer‑care focus.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose, anticipate, and repair faults.
- Capable of completing essential paperwork accurately and promptly.
