We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Support Workers to provide vital assistance to children and young people in a community setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting individual care plans, fostering positive development, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. As a Bank Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living in a residential setting. Your role is to enable people to live safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives while promoting independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
You will support individuals with daily living, emotional wellbeing, personal development, and community involvement, while ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met in line with their individual support plans, risk assessments, and organisational values.

Duties
- Assist children and young people with daily activities, promoting independence and well-being
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Engage in meaningful activities that encourage social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Provide transportation when necessary, including driving children to appointments or activities
- Monitor behaviour and provide appropriate support to manage challenging situations effectively
- Maintain accurate records of support provided, progress, and any incidents in line with organisational policies
- Communicate regularly with colleagues, families, and other professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery
- Uphold safeguarding procedures at all times to ensure the safety of children and young people
Skills
- Experience working with children or young people in a care or educational setting is highly desirable but not essential
- Valid driving licence and confidence in driving is desireable.
- Knowledge of childcare practices and experience developing or following care plans Preferred not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals
