Role: CNC Turner - Setter / Operator (Mazak)
Location: Leicester
Pay: Up to £15 perper hour + an additional £2.00 if you take the night shift
Shifts: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 - 6:00 (48 hours paid)
(PERMANENT DAYS OR PERMANENT NIGHTS AVAILABLE)
Contract: Permanent from Day 1
We’re recruiting for a CNC Operator to join a subcontract engineering business producing precision machined and fabricated components. The site supports large batch production for the yellow goods sector, alongside smaller batch and prototype work. There’s a strong mix of machining and fabrication on site, so you’ll be working in a proper engineering environment, not just a button pushing role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating Mazak CNC machines
- Loading/unloading materials and monitoring machine cycles
- Making basic offsets and adjustments where required
- Checking parts against drawings and specifications
- Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Supporting general shop floor operations where needed
What They’re Looking For
- Experience operating CNC machines (Mazak preferred)
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working nights in a fast paced environment
- Experience with setting or editing programmes
- Background in subcontract engineering or batch production
