HR Business Partner
Venn Group are supporting a reputable Housing Association in Manchester to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner on a 6–9 month interim contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent. This role will partner closely with managers across the organisation, leading on recruitment, employee relations and wider people initiatives.

Rate: £31 – £33 per hour
Contract: 6–9 Months (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
Hours: Full Time
Location: Manchester
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week in office)
Start: Ideally within 2 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with managers across the business, providing expert HR advice and coaching
- Support recruitment activity including shortlisting, interviewing and onboarding
- Lead on grievances, disciplinaries, performance and capability cases
- Conduct and support investigations, ensuring fair and timely outcomes
- Manage a range of ER cases from initial report through to resolution
- Liaise with Occupational Health teams to coordinate referrals, assessments and return‑to‑work plans
- Support managers with reasonable adjustments and wellbeing interventions
- Assist with workforce planning, restructures and organisational change
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment law
- Maintain accurate HR records and casework documentation
- Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures
- Deliver coaching and training to managers on HR processes and best practice
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor
- Strong background in managing complex ER cases end‑to‑end
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience working in housing, public sector or a regulated environment desirable
- Confident communicator with strong relationship‑building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
- Available to start within 2 weeks
