We are looking for a motivated and passionate Commis Chef to join our team for 4 days per week. Our chefs take pride in what they do and we require someone who has the same passion and produce good quality food to join our team. The ideal candidate would be required to work in a busy kitchen producing and serving quality food for weddings, golf events and other functions. We also have a clubhouse kitchen which is open 7 days a week where our clubhouse menu is served daily along with Sunday Lunches.
Your key responsibilities ties will include:
- Assisting the Head Chef & Sous chef in the preparation and serving of all of our menus;
- Monitoring and maintaining the quality of food produced;
- Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and hold a basic food hygiene certificate;
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of both kitchen and surrounding areas;
- Any other duties which are required.
Ideal candidate will need to possess good communication skills, be a good time keeper and must be able to work well in a team and as an individual and be flexible to meet the business needs.
Experience in a similar role is essential the position will involve working an average of 32 hours per week, which will be 4 out of 7 days per week which will include week days, evenings and weekends.
Ideal opportunity for someone who has just completed NVQ level 3 in catering.
