A leading building services engineering consultancy is looking for a highly experienced Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to join its Glasgow team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior electrical building services professional to lead complex, high-profile projects, manage client relationships, develop teams and contribute to the continued growth of a regional engineering function.
The Role
You will take ownership of major multidisciplinary projects, leading electrical engineering design and delivery from concept through to completion. You will work closely with clients, project teams and senior stakeholders to ensure technical excellence, commercial performance and successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical building services design on major multidisciplinary projects
- Act as the lead client contact for electrical and wider engineering matters
- Coordinate electrical, mechanical and public health engineering disciplines
- Oversee project delivery, programme performance and commercial outcomes
- Review, delegate and manage work produced by engineers within the team
- Support bid preparation, fee proposals and business development activity
- Attend client, design and stakeholder meetings as the senior engineering representative
- Mentor, coach and support the development of junior and mid-level engineers
- Monitor project budgets, expenditure and profitability
- Drive high-quality, innovative and sustainable engineering solutions
What We Are Looking For
- Extensive electrical engineering experience within the building services / built environment sector
- Proven experience delivering complex MEP projects across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, science, research, residential or mission-critical environments
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership with a recognised professional body
- Strong leadership, people management and client relationship skills
- Commercial awareness, including responsibility for project delivery and profitability
- Good knowledge of electrical design software and relevant engineering tools
- Strong understanding of wider MEP coordination and multidisciplinary design
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
