Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to join our Procurement team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.¿

Maximising value and efficiency, we oversee procurement, estimating, and quantity surveying to keep Nottinghamshire's highways projects on track.

What you'll do:
- Source products, services and works promptly to support the effective delivery of highway maintenance and construction activities.
- Raise and coordinate purchase orders accurately and on time, resolving invoice queries promptly.
- Support the management and tracking of non-conformances to maintain service standards.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date supply chain records.
- Act as a key contact for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring effective stakeholder communication.
- Complete supplier and subcontractor vetting in line with SHEQ requirements.
- Support supplier and stakeholder performance monitoring to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Follow internal processes and escalate issues where required.

What we're seeking:
- NVQ Level 3 Administration qualification or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience in an administration, supply chain or customer service environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet search engines.
- Effective communication skills, including experience of providing information to, and dealing with, internal and external stakeholders in person, via email and over the phone.
Strong organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to plan and prioritise workload and react to queries to meet operational deadlines in a busy office environment.
