Job Overview
Dunlin Care Ltd. is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team. As a key member of our domiciliary care service, you will provide high-quality personal care to clients in their own homes. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting others and improving the quality of life for those in need, including older adults and individuals with specific care requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care:
- Provide direct personal care and support to clients in their homes, including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meals.
Medication Management:
- Administer medications safely and accurately in line with prescribed guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate medication records.
Health Monitoring:
- Observe, record, and report any changes in clients’ health or wellbeing to the Care Coordinator or healthcare professional.
Social and Emotional Support:
- Offer companionship and encourage participation in social and recreational activities to promote clients’ emotional wellbeing.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation of care provided and any significant observations.
Household Assistance:
- Support clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe home environment.
Driving and Transportation:
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Empathy and Compassion: A caring, patient, and understanding approach is essential.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to assist with mobility and perform manual handling safely.
- Reliability: Consistency, punctuality, and professionalism are key to providing trusted care.
- Driving Requirement: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.
