We are looking for experienced care workers to assist people in their own homes with personal care in Bristol and wider areas within Somerset. If you have a passion for helping others, with sensitivity, empathy and respect, please get in touch with us. This role will be on a zero-hour contract basis (not a fixed salary). Visits will typically be mornings, lunchtimes and evenings, with visit times ranging from 30 minutes to 1 or 2 hours. It is essential that you have a car and full driving licence.
We are currently only accepting applications from those resident in the UK with the right to work in the UK. However we welcome applicants from overseas who are already in the UK, having been sponsored by other companies, provided you are permitted to take additional work (typically for up to 20 hours per week).
Your role will vary with the client, but could include helping them with some of the following:
- Getting out of bed.
- Washing and dressing.
- Hair and make-up.
- Using the toilet.
- Emptying catheter.
- Preparing meals and drinks.
- Assistance with eating & drinking.
- Taking medication.
- Shopping.
- Feeding pets.
- Light housework such as laundry or washing up.
- Collecting prescriptions or pension.
- Travel to social activities.
- Getting ready for bed.
