Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Women’s DA Recovery Programme Co-ordinator to lead and manage our specialised recovery initiatives aimed at supporting women affected by domestic abuse. The successful candidate will work within our Domestic Abuse team to provide direct support to women who have experienced domestic abuse through recovery programmes. The role involves delivering our in-house DA recovery programme (Lotus) including mums of the children accessing the children’s recovery programme Lighthouse Heroes, whilst working closely with the Children’s DA Programmes Co-ordinator to ensure both Lotus and Heroes Programmes run concurrently and cohesively.
Duties
- To assess referrals into Lighthouse Centre’s Lotus Programme and children services, and complete initial assessments with clients regarding their needs, risks, and safety, within the specified timescales.
- To plan, prepare and develop the delivery of the Lighthouse Centre’s Lotus Programme, making changes where necessary to enhance relative outcomes.
- To lead in the direct delivery of the Lighthouse Centre’s Lotus Programme and oversee the work of volunteers supporting delivery.
- To manage your own caseload, planning, and delivery of support to clients and their children based on risk and need in line with set KPI’s.
- To liaise with colleagues and share best practice to ensure a consistent approach to support across Lighthouse services for all families.
- To work with external partner agencies, advocating on behalf of Lighthouse Centre clients and their children to meet their individual needs, such as children’s social care and other safeguarding professionals.
- To support the Lighthouse Centre’s general service delivery by assisting clients through the Advocacy drop-in service if required.
- To ensure that all safeguarding measures are delivered in respect of clients and their children.
- Ensure that all monitoring and case study information is delivered to the Centre Manager on time and KPI’s are met, whilst ensuring service standards are delivered in line with the company Quality standards.
- To maintain excellent confidential records, provide detailed handover reports to colleagues, appropriate referral information when working with other agencies and ensure that consistent and accurate monitoring systems are maintained.
- To ensure time is spent with clients but to attend statutory meetings to share information and advocate for clients when required.
- To develop links with other local support services to ensure clients and their children are effectively able to access wider support resource options available to them.
- Respect the diversity of the clients and their children and support them to access all services on an equitable basis.
- To produce written reports to a standard that can be used in the family court and safeguarding arenas where necessary.
Experience
- Working directly with people/families of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload.
- Developing and supporting client plans with people/families in crisis.
- Working with intersecting challenges faced by people/families in crisis.
- Experience of dealing with conflict and challenge.
- Working with relevant statutory bodies and community sector organisations that support the intersecting needs of clients in crisis.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and subscription to the Update Service in line with internal safer recruitment policy.
