We are currently recruiting for one of our partner schools, an amazing SEND specialist school that caters for children with ALN. The school supports children between the ages of 3-19 with a multitude of ALN diagnosis including ASD, SEMH needs, PMLD, Downsyndrome and more. The role will include working through agency on a long term basis within a KS5 department, on a full time contract until July 2027.
Duties of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Support children in and out of the classroom on a 1:1 basis.
- Complete personal care for the children where neccessary.
- Work towards children EHCP's.
- Work closely with the class teacher and other Autism Support Workers to ensure all tasks are completed throughout the day.
Experience required of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with children with additional needs.
- Knowledge of Autism and how it presents itself in children.
- Experience in sensory play and learning
- Current DBS on the update service or willing to aquire one.

The Role:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Duration: Full time (Monday - Friday 8:30 - 3:30).
- Pay - £100-£115 a day (DOE)
- Location: Vale of Glamorgan
