Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a Fixed Term Contract for three months. The successful candidate will support the organisation’s financial operations by managing accounts payable and, data entry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic financial services environment, contributing to the smooth running of our financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices using the company EFACS software
- Manage accounts payable, purchase ledger and ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors
- Perform accurate data entry related to financial transactions and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting tasks
- Maintain organised records of financial documents in accordance with company policies
- Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required
Skills
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounts payable, purchase ledger processes and financial documentation procedures
- Familiarity with financial services industry standards and practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Must have good telephone manner
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior experience in a similar role or relevant essential
