Heatherside Rest Home is looking for a part-time Cook to join our friendly and supportive care home team, preparing nutritious, home‑cooked meals for our residents.
This role offers guaranteed contracted hours, making it ideal for someone looking for stability while maintaining a healthy work–life balance.
Hours
- Contracted position
- Alternate weeks:
- Week 1: 14 hours
- Week 2: 21 hours
The Role
As Care Home Cook, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking fresh, balanced meals for residents
- Catering for dietary requirements and preferences
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene in the kitchen
- Working as part of a caring, close‑knit team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience cooking in a care, catering, or similar environment is desirable
- A good understanding of food hygiene and safe kitchen practices
