Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure all work is completed to the specified standards within designated timeframes
- Use a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout each project
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating preferred
- Strong understanding of colour matching, surface preparation, and finishing techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving licence is essential for travelling between sites efficiently
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results
