Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English and Maths Tutor to support students in developing their skills and confidence in these core subjects. Duties
- Plan and deliver personalised tutoring sessions in English and Maths, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess students’ current levels and identify areas for improvement through regular evaluations
- Develop customised lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual student goals
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods accordingly
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students and, where appropriate, to parents or guardians
- Create a motivating and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and lesson content for each student
- Stay informed about best practices in tutoring and education to continually enhance teaching effectiveness
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in English and Maths
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively
- Experience working with children or young learners, including those with special educational needs
- Passion for education and a genuine desire to support student development
- Organisation skills to plan lessons and track student progress efficiently
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on individual student requirements
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or specialised tutoring (preferred but not essential)
