Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician looking for a night shift opportunity in Birmingham?
We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy after-hours workshop team working on a modern fleet of commercial vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician to work in a focused night environment where you can maximise productivity and earning potential.
As an HGV Technician (Nights), you will play a key role in keeping customer fleets moving by carrying out high quality repairs, diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance during out of hours operations.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician (Nights)

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic equipment

Complete MOT preparations and vehicle inspections

Ensure all work meets DAF and DVSA standards

Accurately complete job cards and service documentation

Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment

Work independently during night shifts while maintaining high output

Support fleet uptime by reducing vehicle downtime
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
-
Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician

Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills

Ability to work night shifts with minimal supervision

Full UK driving licence
Desirable

HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence

Experience within a dealership or fleet workshop environment

Manufacturer training or accreditation
