We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist with medication administration processes, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering medication guidance
- Manage inventory levels, restocking supplies, and maintaining accurate records of medication stock
- Process prescriptions efficiently, including data entry and verification of patient information
- Support pharmacists in administrative tasks such as billing, documentation, and record keeping
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy area to meet health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageous but not mandatory
