Qualified Electrician – Solar PV & Battery Installations

Tarven Solar Energy is a specialist solar installation company serving homes and businesses across the South East of England. We design and install solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging systems to a high standard, and we're growing our team to keep pace with demand.
The Role
We're looking for a qualified electrician to join our installation team. You'll be working on residential and commercial solar PV and battery storage projects, from initial wiring through to final commissioning and handover. This is a hands-on, field-based role with day-to-day variety across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation work for solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging systems
- Complete wiring, connections, and commissioning to the relevant standards
- Conduct testing, inspection, and certification of installed systems
- Work safely at height and follow all health and safety procedures
- Liaise professionally with customers on site and represent the company well
- Complete accurate paperwork and handover documentation
- Support and mentor less experienced team members where needed
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Sound knowledge of Part P and relevant electrical standards
- Reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Solar PV installation experience and relevant qualifications (e.g. C&G 2399 or equivalent)
- Battery storage and EV charge point installation experience
- 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
- Experience working to MCS standards
- Working at height / IPAF / PASMA certification
