Tandem Group Cycles is a leading UK distributor of mechanical and electric bikes, trusted by around 800 independent retailers nationwide. As part of our parent company, Tandem Group PLC, we represent iconic British cycling brands like Dawes, Claud Butler, and Squish.
We are seeking a structured, efficient Part-Time Sales Administrator to join our Birmingham headquarters (B35). In this role, you will be the administrative backbone of our busy telesales function, providing critical support to our internal account managers and field sales teams.
Instead of heavy cold-calling, your focus will be on managing data, processing incoming orders, and ensuring our customer service is the best in the industry.
Daily Responsibilities
Order Processing: Swiftly and accurately input retail orders into our Proteus system (full, comprehensive training provided).
Inbox Management: Keep the busy sales inbox organized, flagging urgent dealer queries and distributing leads.
Telesales Enablement: Support the outbound calling team by prepping account details, checking stock availability, and pulling activity reports.
Lead Research: Assist the team by identifying and researching potential new retail prospects across the UK.
Logistics & Dispatch: Coordinate with freight carriers, track shipments, and help arrange customer returns or collections.
Customer Care: Handle overflow inbound phone calls from established dealers, providing basic order updates and exceptional service.
What We Are Looking For
Admin Savvy: Proven experience in an office administration, data entry, or sales support role.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional accuracy when entering data and managing order systems.
IT Literate: Strong proficiency with MS Office (particularly Outlook and Excel), with the ability to learn new software quickly.
Great Communicator: Comfortable handling inbound phone calls with an outgoing, professional telephone manner.
Reliable Multitasker: Able to manage your 20 hours efficiently in a fast-moving, energetic environment.
A passion for cycling or bikes is a bonus, but absolutely not essential—we train you on our business!
Location & Commute
Based at 35 Tameside Drive, Birmingham. Our office features free on-site parking and is easily commutable from Castle Bromwich, Erdington, Solihull, and surrounding West Midlands areas.
