Cardiac Physiologist and ECG Assessor
The Cardiac Physiologist/Nurse and ECG Assessor plays a key role in reviewing patient ECGs and as part of the Triage Pathway, supporting the assessment of clinical suitability prior to initiating ADHD medication. This is a newly created position, working alongside our existing ECG Assessor to enhance safe prescribing practices across private, OAC and RTC services.
With the capacity to review 12 ECGs and accompanying clinical information per hour, and report on them, this role will be instrumental in reducing the current backlog, improving turnaround times, and minimising delays for patients awaiting treatment.
This is a fully remote role, working Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm. It offers the flexibility of home working alongside the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient safety. Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing and analysing ECGs, reviewing ADHD medication reports, cardiac screening questionnaires, GP summaries and cardiology letters
Produces high-quality written reports and ensures accurate data collection.
Identifies abnormal or incorrectly recorded ECGs and escalates as appropriate.
Prepares clinical correspondence and liaises effectively with GPs and cardiologists.
Triages referrals appropriately, assessing the requirement for ECGs prior to initiating ADHD medication.
Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Clinical Operations and Clinical Leadership teams, ensuring clear communication and shared responsibility for delivering an excellent service.
Responds to queries in a timely manner, collaborating with the wider team and across departments.
Contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and mutual support.
Supports the training and onboarding of new team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with the Titration Administrative Team.
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert, providing ongoing support and serving as a key point of contact for ECG-related queries.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Cardiac Physiologist/ Cardiac Nurse qualification
AHCS accreditation / NMC registration
A minimum of 2 years of ECG interpretation experience
Desirable:
MSc in Cardiac or Cardiovascular Sciences
Knowledge and Understanding
Essential:
Rhythm analysis knowledge and the ability to recognise abnormalities and incorrect recordings
Experience in ECG report writing
Data collection expertise
Strong clinical background
Desirable:
Experience in reading paediatric ECG’s
Remuneration and Benefits:

£38,000 - £40,000 annual salary (DOE)
