Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager /Cook to lead our small kitchen team. The successful candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure high standards of food quality and safety, and manage staff effectively. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring smooth operational flow
- Manage food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene
- Develop menus in collaboration with the management incorporating innovative dishes
- Monitor stock levels and order and rotate supplies as needed to prevent shortages
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and culinary arts
- Good understanding of restaurant operations and customer service principles
- Previous experience in this role is advantageous
