Deepdale Community Primary School: Advert for Permanent SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Grade 7 SCP 19 25 (32.5 hours per week)
The Governors of Deepdale Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic permanent SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled HLTA and will work across the Primary School under the guidance of the SENCO and other professionals to plan, prepare and deliver targeted high quality support and interventions for SEND pupils and assess their impact. He/she will be able to work as part of a vibrant and forward thinking team and will be committed to the concept of high expectations and achievement for all.
We are looking for an applicant who:
- has recognised HLTA status
- has NVQ Level 4 Qualification or equivalent
- has Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
- is an outstanding and inspirational practitioner and can consistently contribute to a range of teaching, learning activities in an engaging way
- has experience of working with children in EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- has experience of supporting pupils with SEND
- has experience of delivering high quality interventions and support to individuals and small groups of children
- has high expectations of pupils achievements and behaviour
- is able to show experience of working with children for whom English is an additional language.
- is able to show experience of working with children who have special educational needs
- has a commitment to developing his/her own professional skills
This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
