Capital Group are recruiting for an experienced Hot Box Reinstatement Team to support our reinstatement operations on utility contracts across North East Wales. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality reinstatement works, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a hot box vehicle to transport and deliver heated asphalt materials to work sites.
- Support reinstatement teams by supplying materials, assisting with site preparation, and helping deliver high-quality permanent and temporary reinstatements.
- Ensure all works comply with industry standards, SROH requirements, and relevant highway regulations.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and report defects promptly.
- Work closely with site supervisors, reinstatement operatives, and clients to ensure smooth workflow and safe site operations.
- Assist with backfilling, compaction, and site clean-up when required.
- Adhere to company safety procedures, RAMS, and all health & safety legislation.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including delivery records, vehicle logs, and material usage reports.
- Support emergency or out-of-hours reinstatement works when required.
- Ensure efficient utilisation of materials to minimise waste and support environmental best practices.

Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating a hot box vehicle in utilities, highways, or reinstatement operations.
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence and CPC.
- NRSWA Operative (Units 1–8)
- Strong understanding of asphalt handling, reinstatement processes, and material quality control.
- Knowledge of SROH standards and highway reinstatement best practice.
- Ability to safely undertake manual handling tasks.
- Highly organised, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable using handheld devices for job recording and compliance paperwork.
- Flexibility to work weekends, and overtime when needed.
